RateConHQ: the TMS I liked enough to bet my own name on
$299/mo flat — unlimited users, unlimited shipments First month free, and the rate is locked for life for the first 20 brokerages. See RateConHQ →
After years building and running logistics software for a working US carrier, I took everything those systems taught me and launched a product of my own: RateConHQ — a transportation management system for US freight brokers that runs the whole operation, from quote to paid invoice.
Why a broker TMS
Brokers live or die on speed and margin. Most of them run on a patchwork: a load board here, a spreadsheet for margins, rate confirmations assembled by hand in Word, check calls eating the afternoon, and an accounting file that only one person understands. Every handoff between those pieces is a place where money leaks.
RateConHQ collapses that patchwork into one system:
- Book loads — including multi-stop — with appointment windows and full lifecycle statuses
- Send branded rate confirmation PDFs, with MC/DOT details, in seconds instead of minutes
- Track every shipment live on GPS, with automated check calls and customer tracking links
- Vet and monitor carriers against FMCSA SAFER data before a load ever moves
- Close out the money: AR/AP generation, aging reports, and per-load margin without a spreadsheet
- Keep an audit trail on everything, with role-based access for dispatch, ops, and accounting
It integrates with the tools a brokerage already uses — Gmail and Outlook for document delivery, Google Maps and Trucker Tools for tracking, Stripe for payments — and sets up in days, not months.
Pricing is deliberately the opposite of the industry norm: $299/mo flat — unlimited users, unlimited shipments. I've written about why per-seat pricing on operational software is a tax on growth — RateConHQ is that argument, priced.
What this proves about working with me
A portfolio shows you what someone once shipped. A live SaaS shows you what they can keep running. RateConHQ means I carry the pager for my own product — uptime, migrations, support, security, the unglamorous parts that decide whether software survives contact with real operations. When I build a system for you, that is the standard it inherits.
It also means the freight domain knowledge is already paid for. Rate cons, detention, lumpers, factoring, POD chasing, carrier packets — you will not spend your budget teaching me your industry's vocabulary.
