The developer who says “let me figure it out”

I’m Rajan. I’ve spent 13 years and 200+ projects learning one lesson over and over: most businesses don’t need more vendors — they need one person who is good, and who stays.

I started where most freelancers do: websites, online stores, fixes and features — 129 completed Upwork jobs with a 5.0★ rating taught me how to ship reliably for clients I’d never met. I stopped taking marketplace work a couple of years ago — these days the projects come from clients I already build for, and from people who found this site. Their CEO has a name for me — the jugaadi developer. It’s a Hindi word for someone who always finds a way. Since 2024, in everything we’ve built together, I’ve never told them something is impossible. I say “let me figure it out” — and then I do. That answer is why one project became three, including an AI agent that cold-calls prospects for their sales team.

Where I’m going

Today I work with AI daily — not as a buzzword but as a tool that changed the economics of custom software. Builds that took quarters now take weeks. Systems that needed a full-time operator now run themselves. I’m growing Build with Rajan into a small studio around that idea — and in 2026 I launched my own product, RateConHQ, a TMS for US freight brokers, live at rateconhq.com.

The same year I changed how I sell, and what I sell. Instead of a project fee and a handover, the work is now a flat monthly subscription in three lanes: your web, your search, and your marketing. I build it, host it, rank it, promote it, and keep improving it, and you pay one number. It puts the risk on me, which is where it belongs, and nothing stops getting better just because a project “ended.”

Logistics is where my hardest work lives, and I am not moving away from it. But the skills are not specific to freight. A clinic, a law firm, a manufacturer and a brokerage all need the same things: a site that works, pages people can find, and follow-up that actually happens. So that is what I offer now, to anyone whose business runs on the web.

In September 2026 Build with Rajan became a member of the Google Cloud Partner Network. In practice that means my clients get Google Workspace at partner pricing, Gemini and Google Cloud inside the systems I build, and a Google account team behind larger projects. It does not mean I push Google where something else fits better; the badge is a toolbox, not a sales script.
